Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level Safety Coordinator to support safety programs on active electrical construction projects. The role involves field observations, hazard identification, and coordinating safety documentation and training in collaboration with project management and safety leadership.

You will assist with JHAs/JSAs, lockout/tagout, and other electrical-safety practices, while participating in toolbox talks and site orientations to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years construction safety experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Document control and recordkeeping experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine jobsite safety walks and inspections with project and safety leadership.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate concerns to field supervision.
• Assist with development/review of JHAs, JSAs, and pre-task plans.
• Support safety requirements for electrical construction activities (LOTO, arc-flash, fall protection, PPE).
• Assist with new-hire and site safety orientations.
• Participate in toolbox talks and daily safety meetings.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, training records, and corrective-action logs.
• Assist with incident and near-miss documentation and investigations.
• Follow up with field teams to address hazards and corrective actions.
• Help track employee training and certifications.
• Assist with project safety plans and client requirements.
