Job summary

Alterman Management Group, Inc is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to lead safety execution on electrical construction projects. You will direct Safety Coordinators, conduct PSI/JHA planning, ensure high-risk controls, and maintain daily field presence to reinforce safe work practices.

You will mentor field teams, investigate incidents, and ensure timely documentation while coordinating with site leadership to drive continuous safety improvements and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in T&D safety with utility construction experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 (Construction) preferred; OSHA 1910.269 training required.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of safety execution on assigned projects and provide day-to-day direction to Safety Coordinators.
• Maintain a consistent job-site presence to observe work and verify safety controls, especially during high-risk activities.
• Verify completion of pre-task planning (PSI/JHA) and identify hazards with effective controls.
• Support high-risk electrical construction controls, including LOTO planning and verification, PPE selection, and safe interfaces with lifts and equipment.
• Document, investigate, and communicate lessons learned; assist with incident response and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with site safety plans, OSHA, NESC, and MUTCD requirements.
