Overview

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a large-scale construction project with a leading electrical contractor. This role is ideal for a motivated safety professional with early-career experience in construction who is eager to grow while supporting a strong safety culture in a dynamic project environment. This position will primarily support night shift operations.

Start Date: April 2026

Contract Duration: Through April 2027 (with potential for extension)

Responsibilities

• Partner with Foremen and Superintendents to develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Conduct daily field safety walks to assess compliance and identify potential hazards
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of site-specific safety programs
• Collaborate with field teams to develop corrective action plans for safety concerns
• Provide coaching and mentoring to reinforce safe work behaviors and practices
• Assist with new hire safety orientations and onboarding processes
• Deliver and support safety training (e.g., HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tagout)
• Participate in incident investigations, including documentation and root cause analysis
• Assist in managing injury/illness cases and reporting requirements
• Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety standards and regulations
• Support weekly toolbox talks and daily pre-task safety meetings
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety meetings, crew engagement, and stretch-and-flex programs
• Provide ongoing feedback to project leadership to enhance safety performance
