Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Safety Professional to oversee field safety programs across our construction sites in the United States. You will implement company and client safety policies, coordinate with managers, supervisors and crews, and drive compliance with OSHA, DOT and EPA requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor in Safety and Health and at least 5 years in construction safety, with strong training, leadership and incident investigation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent training/experience.
• 5+ years safety/health experience in construction; project-type experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide safety training to personnel.
• Lead pre-job safety planning and emergency plans.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits and document corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries and incidents.
• Issue safety correspondence and update team on regulatory changes.
• Identify staff needing safety support.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and vendors.
• Act as contact for OSHA and regulators when Safety Manager unavailable.
