Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Safety professional to support field operations across multiple construction projects in Virginia.

You will lead safety training, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies while maintaining a strong safety culture on site. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health and 5+ years of construction safety experience, with certifications such as CHST preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations and other safety regs.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize independently.
• Ability to think independently and influence actions to improve safety.
• Ability to work in high production environments (50+ hours/week).
• Ability to manage company programs/policies for safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide safety training and education to personnel.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response plans.
• Lead safety meetings and trainings to communicate policy.
• Conduct audits, evaluations, inspections and behavioral observations.
• Assist in investigation of injuries and incidents.
• Issue regular safety correspondence and updates on regulatory changes.
• Identify team members needing assistance or training.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and vendors.
• Serve as contact with OSHA and other authorities when needed.
