Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to support field operations across construction projects.

You will help develop and implement safety strategies, train personnel, and coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and site teams to protect workers, maintain compliance, and improve performance. The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA/DOT/EPA regulations, CHST certification, and extensive field experience in heavy civil construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
• 5+ years of safety and health experience in construction; project-type experience is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations and related safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide safety training to personnel on health and safety requirements.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response planning for projects.
