Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a safety-focused professional to support field safety programs across projects in the construction sector. You will help implement company safety policies, train personnel, and coordinate safety plans with project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and risk reduction.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health, 5+ years of construction safety experience, and strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations, and other safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and ability to prioritize independently.
• Ability to think independently and influence corrective actions.
• Ability to work in a high production environment (50+ hours/week, nights/weekends).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide training and education on safety and health requirements.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response planning.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits, evaluations, inspections, and document actions.
• Investigate injuries/illnesses and liability incidents.
• Develop and issue safety communications and updates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and third‑party personnel on safety.
• Interface with OSHA and other authorities as needed.
