Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. in Ohio is seeking an experienced Safety & Health professional to support field teams by implementing company and client safety policies.

You will lead training, risk assessments and incident investigations across heavy civil projects, collaborating with site leadership to sustain a proactive safety culture and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong communication, ability to work nights and weekends, and a BCSP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 5+ years safety experience in construction preferred.
• BCSP certification required (ASP, CSP, CHST).
• OSHA 30/10 trainer certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide safety training to personnel.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response plans.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits, evaluations, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries and incidents.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and vendors.
• Interface with OSHA and other authorities.
