Job summary

Covenant Transport, Inc. is seeking a Safety Training Specialist to lead hazmat training for drivers, develop and assign training across Orientation, Logs, and Defensive Driving, and assess safety performance.

You will coach drivers, conduct in-person assessments, and drive continuous process improvements to keep the fleet safe. You will collaborate with Operations, analyze incidents, and implement corrective action plans while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication essential.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting functions.
• Maintain professional demeanor in driver assessments and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Learn hazmat for driver training and compliance.
• Identify training needs for Safety Department classes.
• Investigate improvement opportunities within fleet and industry.
• Collaborate with Operations to determine safety needs.
• Complete random driver checks for policy compliance and safety.
