Covenant Logistics is seeking an experienced CDL trainer to educate new commercial drivers on company policies and FMCSA regulations. You will design and deliver courses, coordinate DOT physicals and drug testing, and conduct driving tests to drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes hands-on instruction, mentorship, and collaboration with onboarding and operations to ensure drivers are job-ready and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, additional training/education preferred.
• Experience leading, teaching, coaching and mentoring in a trucking or transportation setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs for new commercial drivers.
• Coordinate DOT physicals and drug tests with providers and stay compliant with DOT rules.
• Conduct driving skills evaluations including road tests and remedial sessions.
• Maintain up-to-date training content and materials for orientation.
