Job summary

NRS, Inc. is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee driver qualification file compliance and DOT/FMCSA administration, while also conducting road tests and driver coaching on the East Coast.

You will supervise Safety Representatives and partner with senior safety leadership to enforce regulatory adherence and safety performance. The role requires active CDL, extensive DOT compliance experience, and a hands-on approach to safety training and investigations.

Qualifications

• Active Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• 5+ years in DOT compliance, fleet safety, or transportation safety management.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Hands-on experience with road tests and driver evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DQF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Safety Representatives and manage documentation/workflow.
• Audit AS400 and Tenstreet entries for accuracy.
• Conduct road tests and driver evaluations.
• Perform ride-alongs and coaching to correct unsafe habits.
• Deliver ongoing driver safety training and policy refreshers.
• Make OOS and RTD decisions per regulations.
• Collaborate with DOT Compliance leadership on initiatives and audits.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist with recruitment checks and background reviews.
