Covenant Transport, Inc. is hiring a Training Instructor to develop and deliver CDL driver training, covering company policies, FMCSR requirements, road testing, and DOT physical coordination.

You will design courses and conduct hands-on sessions, ensuring learners progress toward proficient, compliant driving and readiness for onboarding. The role emphasizes classroom and field instruction, collaboration with departments, and ongoing course updates to reflect regulatory changes and business

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Class A CDL with a safe driving record.
• Experience leading, teaching, coaching and mentoring CDL drivers.
• Knowledge of FMCSR and DOT regulations.
• Transportation industry experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Conduct training in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Directly coach and mentor participants on best practices for safe CMV operation.
• Administer driving skills evaluations including road tests and backing tests.
• Conduct remedial driver training when necessary.
• Set up and maintain driving skills courses daily.
• Coordinate and conduct training using classroom, exercises, and e-learning.
• Collaborate with internal departments to keep tests and content up to date.
• Monitor drivers' progress and provide remedial training as needed.
• Assist onboarding and ensure drivers are ready to be hired.
• Communicate daily with drivers to address issues.
• Assist in designing orientation materials.
• Stay current with policies to ensure up-to-date training.
• Ensure orientation supplies are stocked.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Assist with gathering paperwork to complete driver hiring.
