Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a safety professional to lead on-site training and compliance across DCs, stores, and fleet operations. You will drive DOT/HAZMAT training, audits, and program development to minimize risk and ensure safety standards.

The role partners with the Director of Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance to implement recognition programs and performance improvements. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to quickly develop rapport and explain objectives clearly.
• Willingness to travel 50%+.
• Ability to develop programs with limited supervision.
• Self-motivated with strong time management.
• Experience with diverse groups including executives and frontline staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as dedicated safety training resource for DC and store fleet.
• Lead DOT and HAZMAT training and documentation compliance.
• Collaborate with Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance on training.
• Review and analyze DC/store work environments and incident reports.
• Develop procedures to eliminate injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site visits and audits to validate safety program effectiveness.
• Coordinate hazard communication, waste handling, and emergency procedures.
• Support safety committees and deliver on-site coaching and safety awareness.
