Job summary

CMC is seeking a skilled Safety Manager to lead OSHA compliance, training and field safety initiatives across our operations. You will drive safety programs, audits, and documentation while collaborating with branches to enhance a culture of safety.

The role includes site visits, plan development, and continuous improvement in a Fortune 100+ environment. You will coordinate extensive training, ensure regulatory compliance, and report on safety performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management role.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Working knowledge experience of Safety management.
• Experience with local, state and federal safety regulatory agencies.
• Experience with workers compensation systems.
• Experience analyzing information in accident investigations.
• Experience with Safety Auditing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence safety culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety programs are compliant (Injury Illness Prevention, Hazard Identification, Hazard Control and Correction, CMC safety regulations, policies and procedures).
• Conduct New Employee Orientation training.
• Conduct OSHA compliance training.
• Monitor, organize and administer OSHA and CMC documentation compliance.
• Visit job sites to identify risks and hazards with contractors.
• Perform monthly plant inspections and identify risks.
• Advise branch managers on OSHA/CMC compliance.
• Prepare job-specific safety plans with AHA/SDS/EAP and CMC policies.
• Coordinate required safety trainings and certifications.
• Complete OSHA and insurance documentation filing.
