Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD seeks a seasoned Safety Manager to lead our OSHA compliance programs and safety training across sites. The role requires field visits, incident investigation, and regulatory documentation to ensure a safe work environment.

You'll work with branch managers and employees, delivering orientation, risk assessments, and safety plans while maintaining Excel/PowerPoint reports and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management role.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Working knowledge of safety management and regulatory compliance at local/state/federal levels.
• Strong interpersonal and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety programs are compliant (IIP, Hazard Identification, Hazard Control).
• Conduct New Employee Orientation training and OSHA compliance training.
• Monitor and document OSHA/CMC compliance requirements.
• Visit job sites frequently for field interaction and risk assessment.
• Conduct monthly physical plant inspections and identify hazards.
• Advise Branch Managers on OSHA/CMC safety regulations.
• Prepare site-specific safety plans including AHAs, SDSs, EAPs, and safety programs.
• Monitor training and certifications for employees and manage OSHA documentation.
• Complete and file OSHA and insurance documentation (OSHA 300/301).
