Job summary

Shifters is seeking a hands-on Field Operations Specialist to support deployment, operation, and demonstration of our autonomous robotic systems. You will work with engineering teams, customers, and partners to ensure systems are ready for real-world missions, combining technical execution with field testing and feedback.

You’ll troubleshoot in demanding environments, train end users, coordinate field activities, and represent Shifters during customer engagements.

Qualifications

Experience in field operations, robotics, unmanned systems, or defense tech.
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving under time pressure.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic environments.
Willingness to travel extensively within the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

Prepare, operate, and maintain robotic systems during field tests, demos, and deployments.
Plan and execute field activities, including system setup and mission prep.
Train and support customers and end users in safe operation of systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues in the field.
Coordinate with engineering, product, and integration teams before and during activities.
Document field performance and feedback for internal teams.
Represent Shifters professionally during customer engagements and events.
Maintain equipment readiness and accurate operational records.
