Job summary

Field AI is seeking a proactive Field Application Engineer to support deployment, testing, and client-facing operations of our robotic systems including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots. This role suits recent graduates who thrive in technical and operational environments.

You will be based at our Saline, MI site, and travel nationwide to support field deployments, testing, and client demos while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical topics for diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field and support testing and data collection.
• Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos.
• Facilitate clear communication between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback in detail.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability.
