Job summary

Amazon Robotics RDPI is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead end‑to‑end deployment of industrial automation across North America stores. The role requires on-site leadership, coordination with hardware, software, and operations teams, and travel up to 75% to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate will manage installation, testing, and go‑live activities, while driving operational improvements and data‑driven decision making in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• 2+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience.
• 1+ years of experience with at least two languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell.
• 1+ years of experience with technical drawings reading CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Relocation to Amazon Corporate offices in Seattle, Boston, or Austin will be required for the role.
• Own the tactical execution (onsite coordination of installation and acceptance testing) to achieve the target 'go‑live' date for each project.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, product managers, and internal customers to convert requirements into deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation and optimization.
• Independently resolve difficult technical problems during deployment.
