Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an experienced Risk Control Professional in the Chantilly, VA area. You will provide account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management, evaluating how companies identify and manage inherent risk factors.

You will work with larger, complex accounts across lines, reporting to the Risk Control Field Director or Managing Risk Control Consultant. The role requires travel, customer collaboration, and the ability to write clear, technically

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences or related technical fields.
• Strong knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS are preferred.
• Technical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence, 20–50% onsite with customers.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control, and Brokers to service customers as a team.
• Perform risk assessments for moderate to high complexity accounts with large exposures.
• Write technically detailed risk assessment reports and recommendations.
