Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will perform clinical assessments, educate families, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe outcomes outside the hospital.

This role requires ventilator management experience, an AMA-approved respiratory degree, and an unrestricted license across serviced states.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Assist in discharge planning and transitions to home for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and staff on ventilator use and equipment.
