Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to provide advanced respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include patient education, discharge planning support, and ongoing documentation. The role requires travel and adherence to company compliance programs and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states served.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and communicate findings to physicians.
• Support discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers on ventilator use.
• Document care activities accurately in patient records.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Comply with HIPAA and infection control procedures.
