Job summary

SBH Foods is seeking a hands-on Repair Technician to service Popeyes restaurants across the Greater Orlando area. You will diagnose and repair kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility systems, performing preventive maintenance and responding to urgent repair needs.

Responsibilities include documenting work, coordinating with vendors when needed, and traveling between locations to keep operations running smoothly. Valid driver's license and mechanical aptitude required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, or related skilled trade.
• Restaurant or commercial kitchen equipment repair experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable using mobile technology to receive work orders, document repairs, and communicate with the team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant equipment and facility issues across assigned Popeyes locations.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and emergency repairs.
• Respond to service requests and prioritize repairs based on urgency and impact to restaurant operations.
• Diagnose issues involving kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical components, HVAC/refrigeration, lighting, fixtures, and general building maintenance.
• Complete repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, hardware, tile, drywall, and other general facility needs.
• Identify when specialized or licensed vendor support is required and coordinate service when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with restaurant leaders regarding repair status, timelines, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used, and outstanding repair needs.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, parts, and vehicle in a safe and organized manner.
• Travel between restaurants throughout the Greater Orlando market and occasionally assist other SBH Foods markets.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
