Tutor Intelligence, Inc. is hiring a Field Reliability Engineer to lead the investigation and resolution of the most difficult technical problems across the robot fleet, with 50–75% travel to customer sites.

The role reports to the Head of Robot Operations and Reliability in Watertown, MA. The engineer will own root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes with engineering and manufacturing, and ensure changes are implemented on both in-market robots and upcoming builds.

Qualifications

• Sharp, a very good communicator, and comfortable across electronics, firmware and software, with mechanical a plus.
• Jack of all trades who can work a problem from the wiring to the logs and own the solution.
• Candidate demonstrates curiosity and ownership to resolve complex field issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and resolution of the most difficult technical problems across the robot fleet.
• Review logs, telemetry and parts history; test theories with a multimeter or oscilloscope.
• Perform root-cause analysis and create an action plan with the engineering owner of the affected hardware.
• Drive fixes through Engineering and Manufacturing so they are applied to fielded robots and future builds.
• Lead the first installation of each new robot model and run major upgrade campaigns.
• Handle major customer escalations on a shared national rotation.
• Document procedures and train regional technicians.
