Job summary

Slip Robotics is seeking an Associate Field Robotics Engineer to own the reliability execution layer for all deployed products across the fleet. You will spearhead root cause analysis, design validation protocols, and drive failures to closure in partnership with Quality and Field Maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in reliability engineering, sustaining engineering, or field service with strong failure analysis.
• Structured RCA experience using formal methodologies and producing documented reports.
• Hands-on bench-level validation and testing capabilities.
• Ability to design and execute hypothesis-driven test plans and validations.
• Strong technical writing for RCA reports, PM procedures, and failure documentation.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet-wide root cause analysis for systemic failures across all deployed products; coordinate with Diagnostic Engineers.
• Form and test hypotheses through bench-level and field validation; design test protocols.
• Produce formal RCA reports documenting failure evidence, causal chain, and corrective actions.
• Drive RCA findings to verified closure in partnership with Quality; ensure action validation.
• Distinguish systemic failures from one-off incidents and elevate issues through cross-functional channels.
• Maintain the failure knowledge base for the deployed fleet to inform PM and diagnostics.
• Own the development and deployment of the preventative maintenance program for SlipBot and SlipLift ALRs.
• Define PM schedules, procedures, and intervals based on failure history and reliability analysis.
• Partner with Field Maintenance to validate PM procedures in the field before full deployment.
• Track PM compliance across the fleet and resolve gaps in execution.
• Update PM procedures as new failure modes are identified; contribute to reliability infrastructure.
• Support cross-functional reliability execution and documentation standards with the team.
