Job summary

Aurora is seeking an experienced Field Quality Senior Manager to establish and lead a new Field Quality function within Safety Case & Quality Management. You will own fleet-level quality evaluation, RCCA tracking, and develop processes, tooling, and governance for field issue management across hardware, software, and operations.

You will build a team of Field Quality Engineers and Technicians, drive cross-functional alignment, and deliver measurable improvements in fleet reliability and issue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Systems Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in quality, field reliability, or related roles with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience with RCCA methodologies (8D, 5-Why) and corrective action systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead Field Quality to evaluate fleet issues and track RCCA lifecycles from detection through closure.
• Define scope and governance for Field Quality activities and maintain the Field Quality Playbook.
• Build and manage Field Quality Engineers and Technicians.
• Own Field Quality dashboards and data tooling; define metrics and reporting for fleet health.
• Coordinate cross-functional investigations across Hardware, Software, Operations, and Service.
• Drive RCCA processes, ensure CAPA closure and effectiveness verification.
• Plan risk, rollout strategies, and stakeholder sign-offs with Program Management and Engineering.
• Develop documentation, workflows, and training for consistent execution.
