Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Quality Engineer to lead customer and field quality activities across platforms from the Airside Center of Excellence in York, PA. You will coordinate data gathering, root-cause analysis, and project pipelines to improve equipment performance and customer experience.

The role reports to the Customer Product Quality Manager and requires up to 50% travel, with strong lean and quality tools proficiency, including 9S/8D, FMEA, NCR, CAPA, and data analysis using MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of quality experience in low volume, high mix manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with supplier interaction.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Lean methodologies and project management exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide Field Quality leadership across assigned product families.
• Analyze data and quantify improvement opportunities for leadership.
• Interact with customers, conduct site visits, and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with Field Technical teams to communicate deliverables.
• Develop a defined project pipeline to deliver quality improvements.
• Understand customer perception related to equipment performance.
• Provide field-facing data analysis to improve supplier and reliability processes.
