Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a SBU Field Quality Engineer to lead field quality efforts, coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and customer support to reduce the cost of quality and improve customer experience.

The role requires collaboration across Technical Support, Field Teams and Customer interactions, with a focus on root cause analysis, project pipeline development, and GTM execution. On-site work is expected, with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Professional certification (CPM, APICS, Six Sigma, CQM, PE, etc.) is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in quality or quality engineering in a design, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and knowledge in APQP, DFMEA, PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide Field Quality leadership across assigned products with a focus on reducing cost of quality.
• Prioritize improvement opportunities and coordinate with Product Growth Teams.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive quality improvements across functions.
• Interact with field technicians and customers to resolve issues and inform product changes.
• Develop a defined project pipeline and track progress to maximize customer benefits.
