Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Customer Product Quality Manager (CPQM) to lead customer quality initiatives for major clients at our York, PA site.

The role demands a customer-focused mindset and the ability to implement corrective actions across functions including R&D, manufacturing, and procurement. You will establish quality metrics, coordinate with account teams, and drive cross-functional improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in customer quality, operations, supplier management, business optimization and/ or project management.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training.
• Strong experience in a matured manufacturing environment with solid quality principles.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships across a matrixed organization.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer quality initiatives for major customers and collaborate with customer focal points, account executives and quality leaders.
• Establish critical customer quality metrics and drive issue resolution.
• Report to the Business Unit Quality Director and coordinate with plant teams to drive improvements.
• Organize on-site quality reviews and customer visits/audits.
• Drive data-driven communication and use statistical evidence to inform improvements.
