Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician / Inspector to perform construction materials testing, quality control inspections, and field documentation for concrete, earthwork, electrical, and environmental scopes of work.

The role is based out of Poston, AZ and requires reading plans, specs, RFIs, and submittals with strong attention to safety and quality. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1, OSHA 10, and ideally OSHA

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in material sampling, testing, and construction inspection.
• Must read and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and related docs.
• Strong attention to detail and field documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and maintain safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect grading, forms, reinforcement, and embedded items before concrete placement.
• Perform temperature, air content, unit weight, yield, and concrete cylinder sampling.
• Identify, store, and transport concrete strength specimens to the lab.
• Inspect concrete placement, finishing, curing, and form installation.
• Document testing results and field observations accurately.
• Verify work complies with plans, specs and project requirements.
