Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician/Inspector to perform construction materials testing, quality control inspections, and field documentation for concrete, earthwork, electrical, and environmental scopes of work.

The role requires independent field work, attention to detail, and strict safety and quality standards. The position is based out of Poston, AZ, with responsibilities spanning concrete placement inspection, sampling, and documentation, ensuring work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material sampling, testing, and construction inspection.
• Current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Experience as SWPPP/Erosion Control Coordinator or Inspector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect grading, forms, reinforcing steel placement, and embedded items prior to concrete placement.
• Perform field tests (gradations, moisture content, sand cone density) and document results.
• Properly identify, store, and transport concrete strength specimens to the lab.
• Verify work conforms to approved plans, specs, and submittals.
• Maintain accurate records of testing and inspection activities and field observations.
• Observe grading and compaction of aggregates, soil, and sand bedding.
• Inspect trenching, conduit and pipe installation, and backfill.
• Document test results and field observations.
