AFICS American Family Insurance Claims Services, Inc. is seeking a field-based homeowner property claims professional to cover the Portland metro area. The role spends about 80% of time in the field, with travel up to 50% for office visits, team meetings, training and events.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated experience delivering customer-driven solutions and service.
• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across territories.
• Experience handling moderately complex claims.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages and endorsements.

Aufgaben

• Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys and others.
• Identify complex issues and escalate as needed; handle claims in good faith.
• Handle 1st and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages and negotiate with insureds and claimants.
• Respond to inquiries, provide claim status and make decisions to close files.
• Interpret policies and endorsements and apply them to assigned losses.
• Provide regular updates to all parties and support engagement activities as needed.
• May perform other assignments based on skills and experience.
