Job summary

AFICS American Family Insurance Claims Services, Inc. is seeking a field-based Claims Specialist in the Tacoma metro area. You will manage homeowner property field claims, reporting to the Property Claim Manager, with 80% field time and occasional office visits for team meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims or equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, and other parties.
• Handles both 1st and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages, and negotiates with insureds and claimants.
