Job summary

AFICS American Family Insurance Claims Services, Inc. is seeking a property claims professional to investigate and maintain homeowner claims, perform field inspections, and settle claims.

The role supports remote work with 80% field duties, occasional office travel, and relocation assistance for eligible hires. A company fleet vehicle is provided with optional personal use, reporting to the Property Claim Manager.

Qualifications

• Hands-on property field claims experience required.
• Ability to write clear, accurate, timely estimates in Xactimate.
• Strong knowledge of casualty coverages and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys and others.
• Handles 1st and 3rd party claims and conducts on-site inspections when needed.
• Evaluates damages, negotiates with insureds and attorneys, and closes files timely.
• Interprets policies and applies coverages to assigned losses; communicates status to all parties.
