American Family Insurance is seeking a field-based Property Claims professional to handle homeowner claims in the Tacoma metro area. You will work 80% in the field, with a company fleet vehicle and potential travel to offices for meetings and events.

The role requires handling 1st and 3rd party claims across multiple policies, on-site inspections, negotiations, and strong knowledge of casualty coverages. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Competenze

• Customer-driven solutions, support, or service experience.
• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories.
• Experience handling moderately complex claims.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages and endorsements.
• Solid knowledge of the claim handling process.
• Familiarity with Xactimate.

Mansioni

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, and others.
• Identifies complex issues and seeks assistance as needed; handles claims in good faith.
• Handles 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across policy types and endorsements.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages, and negotiates with insureds/claimants/attorneys.
• Responds to inquiries, makes decisions, and closes files as needed.
• Interprets policies, declarations, and endorsements and applies them to losses.
• Keeps all parties informed of process and status, and answers questions.
• May be assigned other duties or participate in projects based on skills.
