Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster to manage homeowners claims from start to finish near Southbury/Bridgeport, CT and surrounding areas within a 1-hour radius. You will confirm facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements, handling supplements, ALE, contents, and full claim ownership.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xactimate and solid foundation in homeowners claims handling, including supplements and ALE.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive approach.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Ability to manage the full claim lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in both field and desk settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish.
• Confirm facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Manage supplements, ALE, contents and personal property losses.
• Document all activities clearly in the claims system and maintain records.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and partners to ensure accurate handling.
