Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster in Tri Cities, WA. This remote-friendly field role travels to policyholder homes to assess property damage, determine liability, and negotiate settlements.

A high school diploma and strong customer service are required, with preferred construction or insurance experience. Candidates must be comfortable visiting residences, using claims software, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in retail.
• Construction or insurance experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess loss and liability.
• Use claims software, company car, and laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate subrogation opportunities and report incidents to authorities when needed.
• Interact professionally with policyholders, claimants, agents, and contractors.
• Negotiate settlements and act as a company representative in public interactions.
