Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking a Field Property Adjuster in Texas. This field role involves visiting policyholder homes, conducting investigations, and negotiating fair settlements using company vehicles and digital tools. Expect travel within designated counties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, excellent customer service, and strong communication skills, plus basic computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate the extent of loss, and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims-related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies.
• Perform duties independently, with work directly impacting management outcomes.
