Job summary

Convergint is seeking a field project manager to lead installation, programming, startup/check-out, certification, and training on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will work with the project team to ensure work is within scope, budget, and schedule, while delivering world-class service.

Qualifications

• College degree or trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years field service experience in relevant systems.
• Certifications in Fire, Life Safety or Building Automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees site management for timely completion within budget and contract.
• Prepares installation plan with Project Coordinator and implements procedures.
• Supervises field staff and subcontractors; mentors colleagues as needed.
• Coordinates on-site activities and ensures QA against standards.
• Assists in scope changes and improves customer satisfaction.
• Identifies risks and helps control costs and schedules.
• Ensures installation quality per codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services systems including security, fire, and building automation.
• Provides technical support and training to customers; assists in other duties.
