Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC is seeking a Field Project Manager for Data Centers in San Antonio, TX. You will lead on-site installation, programming, start-up/check-out, certification, and customer training on fire, security, and building automation projects while ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience supervising technicians and subcontractors, coordinating with project teams, and delivering

Qualifications

• College degree or trade school equivalent required.
• Minimum 5–7 years relevant field experience.
• Experience in building automation, fire alarm & life safety, or electronic security systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and scope of work.
• Supervises Project Specialists, Installers and subcontractors in the field.
• Recruits and hires Project Specialist and Installers.
• Coordinates and supervises subcontractors including directing on-site activities and verifying quality assurance standards.
• Works with the Project Coordinator to assist in the overall coordination of specific projects and identify improvements in scope to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Identifies potential project risks and helps develop strategies to minimize impact on costs and deadlines.
• Ensures installation quality in accordance with codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services building automation, fire alarm & life safety, and/or security systems.
• Performs other duties as required.
