Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, start-up and training on Fire, Security and Building Automation projects.

You will work with the project team to ensure work is completed on time and within budget, supervise field staff and subcontractors, manage scope changes, and uphold safety and quality standards across sites. This role requires strong customer focus and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field crews on building automation or life-safety projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem solving.
• Willingness to travel to job sites; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and scope; works with Project Coordinator to implement install plan.
• Supervises Project Specialists, Installers and subcontractors; mentors and directs work.
• Coordinates and supervises subcontractors; ensures QA standards.
• Collaborates with Project Coordinator on scope changes and opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
• Identifies potential project risks and helps implement strategies to minimize impact.
• Ensures installation quality per codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation systems; provides technical support and training.
• Performs other duties as required.
