Job summary

Utilities One is seeking a Field Project Manager - Aerial Construction Specialist in Peoria, IL. You will lead on-site field execution, oversee aerial crews and vendors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across telecom, power, and data center projects.

This role requires strong knowledge of aerial fiber construction, permits, and field leadership. Local travel, hands-on training, and coordination with clients and municipalities are key components of the job.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of aerial fiber construction and related standards.
• Solid understanding of laws, regulations, permits, and safety requirements.
• Ability to train and support field crews to improve efficiency.
• Ability to lift ~50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying weather.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for fiber projects.
• Willingness to travel as required by crew locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field execution and coordinate field crews and vendors.
• Inspect field work for quality, safety, and compliance with plans.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to crews to improve performance.
• Review project scope, constructability, and sequencing with teams and vendors.
• Ensure permits, locates, and approvals are secured before work starts.
• Maintain documentation, reports, and communication with management and clients.
• Represent the company as on-site operational lead and coordinate stakeholder communications.
