Job summary

Edward Don & Company’s Foodservice Equipment division seeks a Field Project Manager to oversee projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, change orders, and coordination with subcontractors and trades. The role requires reading plans, handling RFIs, and ensuring compliance with construction regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1–3 years of field project management experience in foodservice equipment installation or similar construction.
• Ability to read floor plans, equipment manuals, schematics, and complex instructions.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
• Ability to work in office and construction field environments.
• Valid driver’s license in state of application.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years PM experience in foodservice equipment Industry (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, AutoQuotes, OneNote, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Smartsheets and SAP (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage projects from start to finish.
• Ensure all projects are recorded and managed to specifications.
• Select and manage subcontractors performing work under contract.
• Coordinate interfacing work with related trades.
• Request schedule/critical path from client and contractors.
• Prepare RFIs and internal questions for pre-order meetings.
• Schedule pre-order meetings with CSR, estimator, project coordinator and drafter.
• Notify purchasing, estimating and installation of project date changes after PO issuance.
• Conduct field verifications of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes.
• Keep drawings and cut sheets current in the system and share with install team.
• Coordinate timing, receiving protocols, and on-site sign-offs for deliveries.
• Ensure scope completion, punch lists and QA/QC.
• Notify project team when health final inspection passes to trigger reconciliation of project.
• Aim for financial and timely project success.
• Conduct multiple field visits as needed.
• Draft RFIs as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
