Job summary

Boston Document Systems is seeking an Installation Technician II to install, configure, and test multifunction printers and related equipment at customer sites. You will work with customer IT staff to ensure seamless network integration and provide end-user training on device operation.

The role requires hands-on setup, firmware updates, and thorough documentation of installations. Travel to customer locations is expected, with frequent coordination across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting office technology equipment in a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to document installation steps and outcomes clearly.
• Familiarity with print management platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test copiers, printers, plotters, MFPs, and related equipment at customer locations.
• Configure network settings, IP addressing, print drivers, and scan destinations.
• Set up print, scan, and workflow functionality per customer requirements.
• Perform firmware updates and device configuration activities.
• Troubleshoot installation-related hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with customer IT staff to ensure network integration.
• Provide end-user training on device operation and features.
• Complete installation documentation and customer acceptance records accurately.
