Job summary

Boston Document Systems in Marlborough, MA, is seeking an experienced Field Service/Setup/Installation Technician to install and service copier and printer equipment across MA and surrounding areas. The role combines on-site and remote support to keep client systems running and to deliver outstanding service.

You will set up machines, troubleshoot advanced issues, train end users, manage parts inventory, and work with the installation manager to perform remote fixes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Reliable vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of copier/printer office equipment.
• Industry knowledge of Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh and Xerox is required.
• Networking knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setup, Install, Manage office equipment on- and off-site at client locations.
• Provide timely customer service and meet customers’ needs.
• Investigate and resolve advanced maintenance and repair issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Advise customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assemble machines per specifications and test functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrations of office equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify malfunctions and causes.
• Provide on-site and remote customer support.
