Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and minor repairs on equipment at external Hiab locations. You will contribute to productive customer relationships while following Best Practices in administrative and technical activities.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT medical card within 1 year, and the ability to travel 100% across assigned regions.

Qualifications

• DOT medical card within 1 year is required
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in the last two years; all violations reviewed
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• This position requires 100% travel

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment (Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists)
• Keep adequate records and maintain documentation to standards
• Stay up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins and training
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements
• Promote a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow the Quality System
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
