Job summary

Hiab is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair material handling equipment across customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety checks and upgrades, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires extensive travel and adherence to safety and Hiab processes.

Applicants should have a strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical background, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 1-year DOT Medical Card required.
• Valid Driver’s License required; no more than one moving violation in the last year.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 100% travel required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and troubleshoot equipment including Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts and Hoists as directed.
• Follow safety rules and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical developments via internal bulletins and courses.
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Maintain records and submit daily reports per the District Service Manager.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager.
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as needed.
• Represent Hiab brand positively and comply with Quality System rules.
