Job summary

Lumos is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer for field-based fiber network expansion in Port Arthur, TX. You will oversee contractor performance, drive multiple builds on time and within budget, and ensure quality and safety across sites.

Role requires onsite work across the Port Arthur market, residing within 30 miles, and ability to travel between active jobsites. Lumos offers growth, cross-team collaboration, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in OSP construction or related field operations.
• Experience managing contractors and multiple active projects.
• Strong project management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel in market.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple OSP builds across the market from construction readiness through closeout.
• Set clear expectations for contractors and subcontractors, holding teams accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track production, schedules, costs, risks, and field progress, with timely updates to stakeholders.
• Inspect active jobsites to ensure OSHA, NESC, and Lumos standards.
• Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, municipalities, and other field dependencies.
• Resolve field roadblocks professionally and with sound judgment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain.
