Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer to lead multiple fiber builds across Beaumont, TX, overseeing contractor performance, safety, quality, schedule, and budget from readiness to closeout.

This field-based role requires residency within 45 minutes of Beaumont and travel between active sites. The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain to drive efficient, safe, and scalable project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OSP construction or telecom field operations.
• Experience managing contractors and multiple projects.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Beaumont market.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple OSP builds across the market from construction readiness through closeout.
• Set clear expectations for contractors and subcontractors, holding teams accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track production, schedules, costs, risks, and field progress, and keep stakeholders informed with clear, timely updates.
• Inspect active jobsites and ensure work meets OSHA, NESC, Lumos, and applicable construction standards.
• Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, municipalities, and other field dependencies that keep construction moving.
• Resolve field roadblocks and community concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
• Partner across Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain to improve Lumos planning, builds, and scale.
