Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer to lead fiber network expansion in the Panama City, FL market. You will oversee contractor performance, manage multiple active builds, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time, on-budget delivery across sites.

The role requires 5+ years in OSP/telecom construction, strong project management, and travel within the market. A relevant degree and proficiency with Sitetracker/Smartsheet are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in OSP construction or telecom field operations.
• Experience managing contractors and multiple active projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NESC requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the market.
• Experience with FTTH or fiber broadband construction.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple OSP builds across the market from construction readiness through closeout.
• Set clear expectations for contractors and subcontractors, holding teams accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track production, schedules, costs, risks, and field progress, and keep stakeholders informed with updates.
• Inspect active jobsites and ensure work meets OSHA, NESC, and Lumos construction standards.
• Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, municipalities, and field dependencies to keep construction moving.
• Resolve field roadblocks and community concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
• Partner across Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain to improve Lumos planning and execution.
