Job summary

Lumos is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer to expand our fiber network in the Waco area. You will oversee contractor performance, resolve field issues, and drive projects safely, on schedule, and within budget, coordinating with cross-functional teams from field readiness to closeout.

Regular onsite work around Waco, TX is required; candidates must reside within 30 miles of the market and be willing to travel between active sites.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in OSP construction, telecom engineering, network deployment, or related field operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent was stated as minimum.
• Experience managing contractors and multiple active projects simultaneously.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple OSP builds across the market from construction readiness through closeout.
• Set expectations for contractors and subs; ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track production, costs, risks, and field progress; provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Inspect active jobsites for OSHA, NESC, and Lumos standards; ensure quality and safety.
